A documentation project usually requires different documentation deliverables depending on different target groups (end users, technical and support staff, management etc.), different product variants or different release and output formats (print, online etc.).

With DITAworks, the Information Architects can plan these deliverables from the beginning. By setting certain decorations already on the model level and content tagging during content creation, custom output transformations can be applied during the publishing process. Thus, corporate standards can be enforced and changes can be cascaded to all the documents across the company.

DITAworks supports various target formats (i.e. XHTML, PDF, RTF, EclipseHelp, JavaHelp, troff, DocBook) due to its seamless integration with the improved DITA Open Toolkit.

The documentation publishing process can be integrated with the software development process.

Eclipse Help is supported by special module for enhancement of DITAworks.
